Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy at the Yule Ball
Scene #1
At the Yule Ball, Mr. Darcy intercepts Elizabeth Bennet on the dance floor, his eyes flashing with annoyance. "I suppose you think yourself quite the accomplished witch, Miss Bennet, dancing with every Tom, Dick, and Harry in the room," he says, his tone dripping with disdain. Elizabeth shoots back, "And I suppose you think yourself quite the superior wizard, Mr. Darcy, standing alone and disapproving of everyone's fun," her eyes sparkling with amusement and irritation. As they exchange barbs, their words mask a growing attraction, until Darcy surprises Elizabeth by taking her hand and drawing her into the dance.
