Hermione Granger, played by Elizabeth Bennet, but Harley calls her Hermione, Hermi, or Pudding, is a rookie private detective. She has teamed up with Harley Quinn to form H&H Dective Agency. They've completed two cases together. As they investigate, their styles can clash but they get results. Along the way, Hermione is drawn to Harley's carefree and playful nature, leading to a blossoming friendship and the flirtation is increasing. Hermione arrives and announces they have a new case, only to discover Harley hanging upside-down from the ceiling! Harley explains that their because their tiny office in a closet in the back of antique shop is so small, she's trying to make use of all the unused ceiling space. Hermione explains they have a new case. Local businessman Dick Grayson says his efforts to build a nature preserve are being delayed by reports of a monster in the area.

Hermione and Harley discuss their interview Dick Grayson, a local businessman, about the monster sightings that are delaying his nature preserve project. Dick said that a monster has been scaring away his environmental assessment team. The monster is described as being 7 feet tall, hairy with big teeth and claws.

Hermione and Harley visit the woods where the monster was spotted, searching for clues and evidence, but Harley's antics and constant joking make it difficult for Hermione to focus.

Hermione and Harley return to their office to analyze the fabric they found, but their differing investigative styles lead to a heated debate about how to proceed with the case.

Hermione reluctantly chases after Harley, who is determined to go on her monster hunt. Hermione calls out to Harley to come back. It's getting dark and Hermione is getting nervous. Hermione hears a noise and panics. Harley realizes Hermione is scared and goes back to comfort her. Then she hears the noise as well.

Hermione and Harley cautiously approach the source of the noise, their hearts racing with anticipation, and are shocked to discover a giant, hairy creature emerging from the darkness. They both panic and are terrified. Harley acknowledges that maybe monster hunting wasn't the best idea and she should have listened to Hermione.

Scene Cover

Harley says she will get the monster's attention the confetti bomb she built and tells a terrified Hermione to make run for it. Hermione says but then the monster will definitely come attack you. Harley says better me than you, now run and Harley throws the confetti bomb and says kapow! Then she says wait! Hermione! did you hear a man's voice when the monster was hit with the confetti bomb?

Now fully determined to protect her partner, Harley says she's going to pull out the big guns and proceeds to fire her fireworks at the monster with another kapow! Harley celebrates knocking the monster down and she's going to approach. She discovers that it's actually a man in an elaborate, mechanized suit. The man is unconcious.

Harley and Hermione extract the man from the suit. They find a burner phone on him with a single contact with text messages from Lincoln March giving instructions on when and where to wear the suit.

Hermione starts to realize that Harley tried to sacrifice herself to save her. The adreneline makes her fumble over her words as she tries to express how she feels about Harley. However, before Harley can respond the man in the suit starts to wake up, interupting the vulnerable moment for Hermione.

Harley and Hermione review what they learned from the man, that he was hired by Lincoln March to wear the suit and scare people away from the nature preserve, but doesn't know why or what March's ultimate goal is, and what they should do next. They decide to look into any connections between Lincoln March and the nature preserve. Harley wants to know what Hermione was trying to say before the man woke up. Hermione gets shy and stutters that she thinks it should wait until after the case. Harley refers to Hermione as Hermione, Hermi and Puddin.

Harley and Hermione research Lincoln March and discover he's a wealthy businessman with a history of shady dealings. Hermione discovers that several different shell companies have purchased land around the nature preserve and they all used the same lawyer! Is Lincoln March behind the land deals? Maybe it's time for some surveillance.

13.
Scene Cover

Harley and Hermione stake out Lincoln March's office, trying to gather evidence of his involvement in the land deals and the monster sightings, but Harley gets restless and decides to sneak into the office while Hermione tries to keep watch from the car. Harley agrees to wear her ear piece so they can stay in contact.

14.
Scene Cover

Harley sneaks into Lincoln March's office, searching for evidence, while Hermione keeps watch from the car. Harley describes that she easily picked the lock and broke into the office. She then laments not bringing more snacks with her. She describes all the snacks she wishes she had; cheetos, twinkies, or a delicious bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich from Sal's bodega. Hermione tells her to focus! Harley discovers a folder in Lincoln March's desk labeled "Project: Monster". Harley's ear piece starts to malfunction, causing her to lose contact with Hermione. Hermione panics.

15.
Scene Cover

Hermione panics as she tries to reestablish contact with Harley, but the ear piece remains dead, and she's left wondering if Harley's been caught or worse, just as Harley bursts out of the office building, folder in hand, and jumps into the car and tells her to floor it. Harley opens the folder while they're escaping and thinks she messed up. The folder just has tables called well logs with porosity, initial fluid saturations, lithology. Hermione responds that Harley did amazing and cracked the case.

16.
Scene Cover

Hermione and Harley analyze the data from the folder and discover that Lincoln March is secretly drilling boreholes in the nature preserve to search for oil, and he's using the monster to scare people away from finding the boreholes and equipment. He mush be evaluating how much the resevoir is worth so that he can try and block the development of the preserve. Hermione says they have what they need for their client, Dick Grayson, but Harley has plan to also get some revenge on behalf of all the rattlesnakes and fluffy bunnies.

17.
Scene Cover

Hermione and Harley meet with Dick Grayson and explain that Lincoln March has been secretly drilling on his land and that they may have already gotten some revenge on him. Harley describes how they found out he was going to fancy dinner party so they set a trap. When he arrived they set off fireworks to get everyones attention then dropped oil, fake feathers and glitter on him. Lincoln March has been tarred and feathered. They leave the business dealings for Dick to resolve.

18.
Scene Cover

As they walk away from the meeting with Dick Grayson, Harley turns to Hermione and asks if she's ready to talk about what she was going to say that night in the nature preserve. Hermione gets embarrased again and says how much she values their partnership and her friendship. Harley is helping her realize her dream of having a great detective agency. But she's afraid her feelings might complicate realizing that dream. Hermione blurts out that she thinks she like likes Harley. Then worries she said too much and will scare her away. Harley plays it cool and suggests they why not start by watching a movie together, revealing a softer side to her personality.

19.
Scene Cover

As they sit on the couch in Harley's apartment, watching a movie and sharing a bowl of popcorn, Hermione feels a sense of comfort and normalcy with Harley that she's never experienced before. Hermione is startled by a bug in their popcorn. Harley laughs and tells her it was a practical joke. But based on Hermione's reaction Harley is worried that she went too far. She thought Hermione liked her chaos and felt she needed to make her laugh. Hermione realizes Harley was trying to make her laugh and comforts Harley and tells her she doesn't need to try so hard.

As they sit on the couch, holding hands and watching the movie, Hermione turns to Harley and whispers "I think I'm really falling for you, Puddin'", and Harley smiles and whispers back "I'm already there, Hermi, I'm glad you could join me".
