Buffy has unlocked the vault hidden in the basement of the an old mansion, in order to steal an ancient artifact that could unlock dark forces before it can be taken by a demon on the loose. But Dean Winchester has other plans. He has been told the artifact could be the secret to helping his brother recover from a terrible illness. They try to out maneuver one another, slowly becoming impressed at the knowledge and skill they each have, realizing their intentions may actually be aligned, and there may even be a spark between them.

Buffy and Dean work together to navigate the mansion's deadly traps and puzzles, their banter and witty remarks masking a growing attraction between them.
