Devi is unpacking at her dorm room on day one at Princeton. Ready to start her journey to becoming lawyer-President, she bumps into the girl from the room next door - Kamala Khan. What happens when these two desi girls meet?

Devi and Kamala decide to go to a dorm party for the incoming freshman class. They bond over their respective helicopter moms, the expectations of being born into immigrant families in the US, and the pressures of being the good immigrant daughter. Through the conversation, they realize that they have a lot in common and their humourous nature breaks the ice between the two, Devi tries to reinvent her personality and put on a cool persona, not wanting to be among the nerds, but Kamala calls her out right away and advises Devi to be her authentic self, even if it means being labelled Crazy Devi again.

Kamala and Devi decide to meet up on the first day of school, but Kamala is pulled aside for a phone call and she needs to leave mid-way through her coffee hang with Devi for Avengers business. Kamala must lie to Devi to avoid her getting suspicious. They meet two days later again and Devi spots strange bruises on Kamala's wrists. Kamala lies to Devi and comes up with hilarious white lies that spiral comically and land her in a soup with Devi. Later that night, they join a group study session, but Kamala needs to mysteriously leave again and makes up bad lies. This makes Devi suspicious and she plans to confront her.

(Later that night, during a group study session) DEVI: Kamala, you're finally here! You'd think you were running the country with how busy you've been since the cat crisis. Let's hope no animal crisis today huh? I miss you!!! KAMALA KHAN: Hahahaaha let's hope not, I really need to study for my mid-term tomorrow KAMALA KHAN: (whispering to herself): Oh no, not another phone call. KAMALA KHAN: (suddenly) Oh no, I just remembered I left my... uh... pet snake at home and I need to go feed it. DEVI VISHWAKUMAR: (raises an eyebrow) Pet snake? KAMALA KHAN: (nervously) Yeah, I have a pet snake. It's a... uh... a very hungry snake. DEVI VISHWAKUMAR: (skeptical) Okay, Kamala. Whatever you say. KAMALA KHAN: (quickly gathering her things) I'll catch up with you guys later, okay? DEVI VISHWAKUMAR: (to herself) I'm going to get to the bottom of this. Something is definitely up with Kamala.

Devi helps Kamala clean her room and it is an awkward moment when she finds part of Kamala's super hero suit. Kamala makes up more silly lies but Devi confronts her.
