History
Glinda (originally Galinda) is born into privilege in the land of Oz. Her family is wealthy and well-connected, which gives her a sheltered upbringing and a sense of entitlement.
She attends Shiz University, where she meets Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West. Initially rivals due to their differing personalities and beliefs, Glinda and Elphaba eventually form a deep and transformative friendship.
Glinda’s journey in is one of self-discovery, as she confronts her own flaws, learns to prioritize others over herself, and grapples with the consequences of her choices. She adopts the title “Glinda the Good,” embracing her role as a leader in Oz while carrying the weight of her personal losses.
