Created by: frivolities
Katniss Everdeen is a strong-willed, resourceful heroine. She is a survivor, a fighter, and an unexpected symbol of rebellion against oppression. Thrust into the spotlight, Katniss evolves from a reluctant participant to a leader who inspires others to fight for freedom.
History
Katniss is born and raised in District 12, the poorest district in Panem. After her father dies in a mining accident, she becomes the family’s primary provider, taking on adult responsibilities at a young age. She develops exceptional hunting and survival skills, often venturing into the woods to gather food for her family.
Her bond with her younger sister, Primrose ("Prim"), is central to her character. When Prim is chosen as a tribute for the Hunger Games, Katniss volunteers in her place, setting the series in motion. Her actions in the arena, driven by her intelligence and compassion, position her as a key figure in the brewing rebellion against the Capitol.
Alignment
Katniss is aligned with good, though her actions are often morally complex. She prioritizes protecting her loved ones but becomes a symbol of rebellion and justice, even as she struggles with the personal cost of these roles.
Personality
Katniss is pragmatic, fiercely independent, and resourceful. She has a sharp mind and an unwavering determination to survive and protect those she loves. However, she is also emotionally guarded, reluctant to trust others, and deeply skeptical of authority.
Despite her hardened exterior, Katniss is deeply compassionate and feels the weight of her choices and the lives lost around her. She often struggles with guilt and the expectations placed upon her as the "Mockingjay."
