Seokryu is a software engineer turned chef. Always excellent in her studies, she worked as a software engineer in the US but returned to Korea after facing personal struggles. She reconnects with Seunghyo and, after some inner conflict, confesses her feelings for him. She also discovers her passion for cooking and is now set to open her own restaurant

History

Seokryu was always a loud, strong character—almost like a bully to Seunghyo’s timid persona—but she always protected him and gave him a sense of home when he couldn’t connect with his own family. As an overachieving daughter, she constantly felt the pressure to succeed, especially with a laid-back younger brother. She broke off an engagement before returning to Korea and had hidden a past illness from her family due to the pressure of being the 'perfect' daughter. Eventually, she realized she couldn’t keep up the façade and broke down before finding her path as a chef—a decision her parents initially opposed, as her father had once run a failed tteokbokki shop and feared she would meet the same fate.

Personality

Strong and unfiltered, she doesn’t hold back and will give you a piece of her mind. Despite her bold exterior, she’s anxious and only opens up to a few. She’s very close to Seunghyo and has a best friend. She's closer to her dad than her mom.
