Mia Thermopolis is a socially awkward, frizzy-haired teenager living in San Francisco with her artist mom. She prefers blending into the background, spending time with her best friend, Lilly, and crushing on her classmate, Josh. Her world turns upside down when she learns she’s the heir to the throne of Genovia, a small European kingdom. Under the guidance of her poised grandmother, Queen Clarisse, Mia struggles with royal etiquette, self-confidence, and public scrutiny. As she navigates makeovers, mean girls, and unexpected responsibilities, she ultimately embraces her identity, realizing that true leadership isn’t about appearance but about courage, kindness, and staying true to herself.
