History

Mira Devraj's story is steeped in the weight of legacy and the shadows of an ancient prophecy that has defined her family for generations. Born into the Devraj lineage, Mira grew up hearing whispered tales of a curse entwined with her bloodline. It was said that every generation bore the responsibility of a "warrior," chosen to confront the curse—a dark force tied to their ancestors' past—alongside a destined companion. The curse itself stemmed from an event centuries ago, when Mira’s great-great-great-grandfather, Arun Devraj, faced his turn as the warrior. Arun's time marked the darkest chapter in the Devraj family’s history; he failed to defeat the curse. The outcome was catastrophic: lives were lost, the land ravaged, and the Devraj name was tarnished. Since then, each generation’s warrior either failed or succumbed to the curse, leaving a trail of broken dreams and early deaths. Mira’s father was among those who tried and failed, his life cut short before he could even attempt to change their fate. As a result, Mira’s family has endured centuries of bias and mistrust from their community. Many see the Devraj's as cursed themselves—a family destined to bring misfortune wherever they go. Mira grew up navigating this prejudice with a quiet resilience, learning to find strength in the bonds of her immediate family and the small acts of kindness that defined her mother’s teachings. She inherited her father’s determination and her mother’s compassion, shaping her into someone who stands firm even when the odds are stacked against her. Now, the burden of the warrior falls to Mira. The curse looms, demanding that she either confront it or face the same fate as her forebears. The prophecy’s companion—a figure as vital as the warrior—has yet to be revealed, and Mira is acutely aware that she cannot fulfill this task alone. The scars of the past weigh heavily on her heart, but so does the hope of breaking free from the cycle of failure.

 

Alignment

Mira is a neutral/good character that is still trying to find out who she is as a person. While she's committed to finally ending the curse that has terrorized her family for generations, she's also terrified of what might happen if she doesn't. Because of her family's looming past, and the pressure to resolve the curse, Mira finds her self facing low self-esteem and insecurity. But with the help of her friends and her will to keep going, she grows into a confident and strong-minded character.

 

Personality

Mira is soft-spoken and typically opts for a kinder and more understanding approach. She starts off as a gentler character that gains more confidence as the story progresses. She's more of a "listener" and loves to offer a shoulder to those that need it. However, Mira also tends to overlook her own needs, while prioritizing others instead.
